FAST EAGLE

Had a great time up in Flag yesterday with Scott Colbath and Brian Corbett.  Though there were several opportunities to snag shots for this month's panning challenge, they usually happened in the middle of a hilarious conversation and we only noticed after the opportunity had passed.

Great to see you and Scott! I forgot my card at home, so my pics are still on the camera. I'll get them offloaded today, though! Looks like you managed to get at least one good pan... HAHA!

P&S shot because I didn't want to take out the good gear in the rain.......Even though I had my camera condoms with me. I wish they were both just a bit higher.

Killer image Joe.

Thanks Ross.  Clouds worked in this case, is it would have been tail/backlit otherwise.

The wet tarmac gives the image a completely different feel.

ELEGANCE & EFFICIENCY

PB4Y-2 and Jurca Spit on the ramp, and this was the bird turning everyone's heads.  It's a Stemme S10-VT powered glider.  The pilot summers in Flagstaff and winters down near Dear Valley, and said when he flies from FLG to DVT, he can cut the engine once he reaches his cruising altitude and coast all the way down to the Valley.  The wingspan is insane.
