I recently bought the Nikon Point-n-Shoot P900, it has a 2000mm optical zoom and a 4000mm digital zoom. A lot to play around with, but I'm lookin' forward to the game!

Definitely keep us posted.  I've been considering a point-and-shoot since this last trip to Kansas with the family.

It's a fairly large camera and it doesn't have RAW, but the 24mm-2000mm is what sold me. It also shoots up to 160 shots per second. Still need to play around with it over, at least, this weekend. I'll report back with photo examples and more details.

Matt: I saw one of these in the field last week and was impressed. I really look forward to seeing your images and review.

So far I'm very pleased with the camera, even with the fact that it is a point-and-shoot and it's missing many functions that I'm very used to in my DSLR.  The only thing that I absolutely hate so far, is the fact that it doesn't shoot RAW.

Anyway, here's an uncropped photo of the moon that I took last night.  The only editing that I did was a little brightening and color/white balance correction.  It's nowhere near perfect, but it'll do for this example.
