Busa power, baby!

I love my Hayabusa, and I really love seeing the Hayabusa power plant being put to use in an airplane.

These engines are rock solid, and I'd say are a super safe engine for aviation use. You can even reliably turbocharge them and make an easy 350HP.

The second generation engines (starting in 2008) are even a bit more beefy in the engine's bottom end construction than the original design. The article states a "1300cc" engine, which I'll assume makes this a Gen1 engine in the plane. The 2008 and newer had 1,340cc engines.
