Who is heading to Gillespie Field June 20-21 for the airshow?

I am driving over on Friday morning.

I am planning to participate in the Photo Pass on Friday evening (starts at 5:00 pm).  I have a Photo Pass ticket for Saturday as well.  Undecided about Sunday, my thoughts are to stay until about noon on Sunday before driving back to Phoenix.  Unless I am wiped out from Fri and Sat's fun, then I might sleep in until checkout time at the hotel before driving home.

The Photo Pass option looks like a great opportunity.  It's not my normal week in San Diego, but I might be able to fudge my schedule a bit.....Stay Tuned.

For a minute I thought this was about the MCAS Miramar air show in October. Didn't know there was another one sooner...

This image was shot with my vintage Auto Chinon Multi-Coated, 50mm, f1.7 manual everything lens.  I use this as the taking lens for my anamorphic rig.  Also fun to pull out and shoot old style manual focus.

I do not have many images from the show.  Just shot Friday evening and not as much as I could have since I was planning to hit it hard on Saturday.  A bit of montezuma's revenge kept me grounded on Saturday.  It was a decent show.  The ramp access was nice before and after normal show hours.  Lots of time and elbow room to setup shots.
