I don't know if anybody really cares, but the view counts on Flickr are all screwed up. I think it probably started when they did their big re-design recently. I posted a photo yesterday and when I look at the stats, it says there were 11 views yesterday, 12 so far today and 65 all time. That doesn't make a lot of sense.

Been trying to figure that out as well.  My hunch is that it's recording both discrete clicks on individual images AND views on your contacts' homepages as they scroll down through all of their contacts' images.  From what I can tell, if you go to your stats page, only individual clicks on images are counting toward the true total, while the view counts displayed on the pages of the images themselves reflect both the individual clicks and the scroll-through views from your contacts.

At least that's what I *think* is going on.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."

I agree that they're probably counting scrolling views, but that is the total that is being recorded as the all time views total for the photo.

I've never thought that the view count was very accurate anyway, but this seems to be even farther off than before, not that it really matters.

This is the count for the photo I referred to earlier.
