For the Nikon users out there this is good news.  Finally and update to the Nikon 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D VR.  Seems Nikon has beaten Canon in updating their competing lenses in that category.  This announcement came last week.  Pricey but hopefully image quality is proportional to the cost.  Ok Canon, your turn...
