Cessna Bird Dog

Man, weird afternoon. I get out to the airport to shoot the Bird Dog and the owner doesn't give a rat's ass. I am holding close to $5,000 worth of gear in my hand, and he is busy shooting with his little P&S camera. He didn't want to move the plane to a better location on the tarmac, didn't want to make a flyby. Nothing. So, here is what I got based on crappy conditions. Oh, and the owner also flooded the engine and just about killed the battery trying to get it started.

The pilot, an 80 year old guy, took forever to get to the end of the runway, only to get there and then take another eternity to prep for takeoff. By the time he reached me, he was very high in the sky.



Once he took off, he headed North. Why? I don't know. His friend told me he was heading back to Falcon. I watched as the plane disappeared over the Weaver mountains.
