It says the stronghold was "bombarded by two OV10 aircraft." It also says the US "assisted in the strike." I wonder if there were a couple of B-2's assisting by dropping a few smart bombs.

I'd imagine the assistance was on the ground.  We've had a pretty strong Special Forces presence in the Philippines since 2001, assisting their military against Abu Sayyaf. 

Though the Marines, Air Force, and Navy used mostly forward-firing ordnance, a few foreign air forces - the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand - have had some great success with dumb bombs (Mk 81/Mk 82).  I believe the Indonesians actually modified the sponson hardpoints to accept Russian bomb racks for FAB-class bombs.  (They also removed the M60s from the sponsons and replaced them with twin .50s).
