LOS ANGELES (Aug. 24, 2011) --  The Home Depot® Foundation today joined with The Mission Continues and multi-platinum rock band 3 Doors Down to launch its "Celebration of Service" campaign, a major effort to enhance the lives of  U.S. military veterans.  The campaign, which officially begins on September 11 and runs through Veterans Day, November 11, 2011, includes 200 service projects directly aimed at improving homes, facilities and community centers where veterans live and receive services.

As part of this year's "Celebration of Service" Home Depot had employees design and paint aprons and send them to the home office in Atlanta, GA.

The following link was posted on the Home Depot employee website, I thought it was pretty cool and figured I would share it with you.

Below are a few examples from the contest (over 600 aprons).

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.
