If you need an alternative, you can use this site. Just put the N-number in the Search Tail Number box. It's only updated once a week, but that's usually good enough. However, it probably won't be updated during a shutdown, because the FAA probably won't be releasing their weekly data sets on Mondays like they usually do.

He blocks the names of individual owners, but company names are included.

I'm sticking this here for lack of a better place to put it. If your every out at PHX and would like more info on the BA Aircraft here the place to check out the registry info, they give you more then the FAA does. This looks like the British Goverment sight, and you can submit photos to them.

"You don't become a professional simply by earning certificates, adding ratings, or getting a paycheck for flying. Rather, professionalism is a mindset. It comes from having the attitude, the ethics, and the discipline to do the right thing — every time, all the time, regardless of who's watching."
