The One That Got Away...

So what's your story about the photo you didn't get?

I started thinking about this topic after my most recent miss yesterday.

I'd gone to Las Vegas with my girlfriend and her family.  I was in the room (MGM Grand, 12th Floor, Tower 1) packing and getting ready to check out about 8:45 am talking to the GF's brother and his wife, and we notice a plane coming into McCarran outside of the normal pattern.  We watch as it gets closer, and notice a white plane with a red stripe down the side with no logo on the tail.  When we saw that there was no registration numbers, I finally realized what it was.  I was 50mm shooting distance away from a Janet Airlines 737, and my camera was in its bag in the closet.

I can't count the shots I've missed.

Hawks flying overhead. My horses prancing and being beautiful, the hot naked chick on the balcony at the Hyatt at Gainey Ranch........The list goes on.
