Or as one Southwest pilot was overheard saying on the radio in Portland, "Hurry Up And Wait."

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

I still don't understand that one. Please, let's change things we've been doing for ages (and actually worked) because change is good. Right? Riiiiiggghhhttt.......

Apparently "Position And Hold" was different than most of the rest of the world.  "Line Up And Wait" is actually the approved verbiage in ICAO countries.

Now, why we have to "cave" to ICAO conventions is beyond me and worthy of a different discussion.

"Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated
"You don't become a professional simply by earning certificates, adding ratings, or getting a paycheck for flying. Rather, professionalism is a mindset. It comes from having the attitude, the ethics, and the discipline to do the right thing — every time, all the time, regardless of who's watching."

Typically not a fan of rear-quarter shots, but dang that's nice.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."

I have front quarter too but the nose gear is already up and the mains are just moving toward the wells and it's just not "pretty."

Well this is a BAe 125-1000 but it seemed silly to start a new post for such a minor variation on the HS-125 family.  Taken with a Mamiya 645 on Fuji transparency film.  Most likely Provia 100F.
