Unfortunately for the guys on the ground, it's not going to happen.  http://www.dodbuzz.com/2010/05/06/schwartz-shoots-down-light-fighter/.

Apparently General Schwartz thinks that F-16s can do the job the OA-X winner would have done, only louder, and with less station time.

When will they every learn.......I know lets make a fighter and ...I know, ....NO GUN..because .the F-4 will never need a gun....!!!
"You don't become a professional simply by earning certificates, adding ratings, or getting a paycheck for flying. Rather, professionalism is a mindset. It comes from having the attitude, the ethics, and the discipline to do the right thing — every time, all the time, regardless of who's watching."

Bronco is the only private flyable one in US and they have more parts for a couple more. TAH-1 cobra will be flyable and I think there are a few civilian ones out there.  Pics of the Cobra soon.

There  is another flyable Bronco N614V based @ Kissimee Florida with Stallion 51/Lady Alice Corp. :D

Keith, do you know the pedigree on this one?  Was this the one that some guy had pieced together from several of the Patrick-based Broncos that were damaged by hurricane Andrew?  I know that guy had it up for sale for a long, long time, but I don't know what ever happened to it.
