So next week I'll be heading up to Salt Lake City to visit some relatives. My Grandpa informs me that I should look for things to do on my own so that I can get out of the house and let my uncle work. (He works from home) So I'm wondering if anyone has any aviation/photography related info on the area?  I'm looking at Antelope Island State park for a day of photos, as well as a few other parks but am also wondering if there are any good air museums?

Hope someone has some info ;D

The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

Also, if you make it over the mountains, just south of Park City is the newly formed (as of about a year ago) Utah Wing CAF.

Pretty sure there's pretty active GA activity around SLC also.

The 151st ARW operates KC-135s out of SLC Airport too.  I've heard mixed things about off-base shooting at Hill, but the consensus is that there are no really good spots close to any action and that SecFor there tends to harass photographers.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."

I'll see if the CAF is flying at all while I'm there, would be nice. I've been told that an overnight may be possible so distance/time isn't an object.

G/A may be interesting. Will take a look around.

Thanks for the info about Hill. I was thinking about checking it out, but with this info, I may skip that.
