Autofocus issue on the 7D Mk2

My camera seems to be stuck on single point focus, within the 64 point grid. I've gone through what I think are all the settings, looking to put the focus point on a group of points, not just one. It seems that no setting I have tried is getting it there.

I also need to note that I've never changed a thing on this camera. It just was in this mode last time out, when I was birding. My bird pictures sucked a a result.
