I received the following email from Kris Haugh at NAF El Centro this morning:

"through the efforts of AzAP, a destitute Sailor was given assistance and will be able to keep him and his family afloat a little longer as they attempt to get back on their feet. A perfect storm of financial issues hit him and his family all at once. You guys were a life ring."

This is precisely the kind of assistance we were hoping to provide when we set the book up as a charity-funding effort.  If you haven't picked up a copy yet, please consider it. All proceeds from the book go to a charity fund to assist NAFEC's Sailors with things like emergency assistance in times of need, travel for Sailors who have to travel to visit sick family or attend funerals of loved ones - we're not changing the world, but we are making things a little easier when it matters.

The book is still available as a hardcover and a softcover through Blurb: http://www.blurb.com/b/4122185-the-out-of-towners
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.
