COUNTING SHEEP

I spent an evening at Camp Pendleton in August to cover VMU-4's use of their RQ-7s for nighttime wildlife survey work for the November issue of Air International magazine.  Pretty cool concept, even if the mission that night was a bust due to SoCal's notorious marine layer coming in and blanketing the area immediately after launch.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."

Another shot from the Wildlife survey mission VMU-4 did earlier this year.
