Shea Homes wants to use a couple of my shots from Wickenburg airport in their advertising material for the Wickenburg Ranch development.

What is a fair price I should ask for? A woman with the Wickenburg CoC told me $100 per shot is what others were paid in the past. Sound about right?

Are you taking $100 for a single print or a $100 fee for "user rights" to each photographic file? I've typically got more money for "user rights" of the image file than prints. I think $100 per image file for "user rights" is dirt cheap. I'd get more if you think their budget can afford it.

Scott,

As simple as this question seems, might actually be a large can of warms.  Jeff's pretty spot on with his comments about user rights.  Be sure you're licensing their use and not selling the image's copyrights.

Here are two references that you might want to take a gander at:

Frustrating because they're coming to you with expectations set through a super-lowball precedent, so you probably don't have much room to negotiate a fairer price while still making the sale.  That said, you obviously have something they want/need, so you definitely want to negotiate upwards.
