Following is from their Facebook page:

Ladies and gentlemen,

We've had an unfortunate turn
If events with PM recently. Long story short, our race motor is not going to come together this year. The fortunate part is that it failed during ground runs, not in flight.

The team has given it their all, but we will not be competitive this year. Currently we're trying to piece together a ferry motor so we can at least make a showing at the races. That, however, is very much up in the air during this, eleventh hour, attempt.

We're very sorry to disappoint our fans. We appreciate all the support and encouragement we have received during this year's rebuild project.

It could have been PM's year. But even though we're out of the running for the gold, we'll be watching with great anticipation as this still is shaping up to be one of the most exciting air races of all time.

We will keep you updated with our progress and hope to see you on the ramp!

All the best,

Thom Richard

Update also from their Facebook page:

Morning all,

Just to clarify, as I have received a lot of inquires. By "ferry motor" I mean a safe runnable engine that will take us to the races, allow us to race and bring us home. If we make it on time, we'll enter and end up somewhere between the stockers and the super-modified's.

We are down on horsepower but not out of the running!
