Uh, yikes.  That airspace gets pretty hairy even WITH a controller.

I am really amazed that they are going to try this uncontrolled. If there is a mid air or a runway collision of any sort they will wish they hadn't tried this. I know that they are advising all pilots this is at their own risk, however the lawyers will have a field day. This has a real danger to be there even shooting photographs. I'm just saying. ???

Yup.  I was getting ready to send the ops guy an email asking if we could set up the same deal as we did last year, but after reading this, I'm reconsidering.

I don't think it will be that bad. The number of aircraft attending has been declining every year and there's no reason to believe that won't continue this year.
