I did not find a thread for this aircraft.

I've got a serious jones going for this plane - the lines hit me in the same way as the Grumman Bearcat. Unfortunately, I don't have a photo. Do we get to see one of these bad boys occasionally here in Arizona? I'd love to see one in person and hear what a radial engine called the "Centaurus XII" sounds like. Hopefully, some of you have captures of the Sea Fury on your hard drives and can help get this thread going.

Reno or Chino may be the closest opportunities we have to shoot them.  I agree though.  Gorgeous aircraft, would love to shoot one.

For some reason I think Ned might have some air-to-air shots of one from Midland a while back.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."

Here's an old one. Chino air show 1978.

It doesn't look like this now. It's been heavily modified for racing.

Here's another one from the same Chino show. It's kind of chopped off though. This is the two-seat version.

Not sure if any of you remember Charlie Hillard, he was the flight leader of the Christian Eagle aerobatic flight team. After he retired from the team he started flying the "Lone Star" Fury. I think his first show in the Sea Fury was at the 1996 Phoenix 500 at Williams Gateway. It was a very impressive demo. The smoke generators were way cool. Sadly he was killed on landing roll out in the Sea Fury at Sun n Fun a week or two after the Phoenix 500. I have pictures of of the red and white Sea Fury with the big Texas star on the cowling. I would post them but have no scanner. :(

I was sitting at a park in Chandler yesterday, taking pictures of the kids playing, when I heard the unmistakable sound of Warbirds overhead.  Two Hawker Sea Fury's in formation to Stellar Airpark.  Researching them, looks like they were at Chino, CA Planes of Fame show this past weekend https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151442972678790&set=a.106001323789.92800.23688958789&type=1&theater and flew over here on the way somewhere as Stellar said they were just stopping in for a few hours.  Both Sanders Aeronautics: http://www.sandersaircraft.com/aircraft_argonaut.asp and http://www.sandersaircraft.com/restoration_seafury-924.asp.
