Quote: A-10C's from the 47th FS at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana, are participating in the 'Rim of the Pacific' (RIMPAC) 2012 exercise in Hawaii. On 4 July 10 A-10C's were due to leave Barksdale for a month. The unit had special interest in the planned SINKEX, which will see it target a decommissioned naval vessel with its GAU-8 30mm cannon and AGM-65 Maverick to sink the ship
