Hey Guys my family and I just got back from a Eastern Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Sea's and one of the islands we stopped at was St. Maarten so of course we had to go to Maho beach on the Dutch side and watch the aircraft coming and going from the airport. As I get them edited and uploaded to Flickr I will post them here.

Yes I was very excited when we agreed on the cruise we would take and one of the stops was going to be St. Maarten. My wife is not crazy about aviation like me but I have shown her videos in the past of planes landing there so i told her the only request I have during the cruise is we go to this beach.
It was a lot of fun and she and our daughters all liked it as well.

This truly is the bucket list airport, and hopefully I can make it sooner rather than later.  Even my wife is excited to spend a day or two here.  Looking forward to more of your photos.

I wish the sky wasn't so gray and cloudy. I suck and touching up photos to make them pop and the gray sky's dont help. :-( The Air France A340 wasnt as good as I was hoping for. I was hoping to catch the KLM 747 that ususaly is on the roster for Thur and Sun but it wasnt on this Thur but we did have the A340 which was cool to see.

Chris, these are all great. After 2 visits on cruise ships I finally made a trip to the island itself for a few days and it is worth it. Beyond the airport, the island has plenty to do in its own right.
