Looks like TransPac Aviation Academy has had another crash.

It is now reported that three were killed in the crash.

Fox 10 News requested permission to use this photo, so presumably this is the airplane that crashed.

Reading the article, I have to wonder why you would go to a mountainous area for night practice?

My CFI always made sure we went south of town where it's flat and you can stay near the I-10.  Didn't go near higher terrain until we actually flew the night cross country to Prescott and even then, we stuck strictly to the airways where you knew nothing was in front of you provided you stayed above charted minimum altitudes.

Damn shame...
