She landed south side for her first visit to Phoenix (while I was setup and hoping for a north side arrival), she also departed (per SOP) on the south side.

Can you provide a size reference as to how big it is?  The four not-quite-symmetrical round things look like the bottom side of a button, so maybe it's some sort of input/joystick base?  The nylock nuts holding on the four supposed buttons give the impression this whole assembly is reasonably large.  The capacitors, chips and resistors (none of them surface mounts) also lend to this being a relatively large assembly.  Contradicting that perspective;  it also looks like it's sitting on a granite counter...thereby implying it's a bit smaller than the initial impression may suggest.  ds

Any context as to where it came from?

Looks like DM was a happy recipient for some of the Offutt exodus!

I'll get the ball rolling from yesterday's outing to El Centro.  Great fun catching up with everyone.  Cool getting to see the Thunderbirds spend some training time at El Centro during the Blue Angels winter training evolution.  Thanks again to the entire crew at NAF El Centro for letting us be a part of the gaggle!

Two of my favorites from the Thunderbirds morning display.

While waiting for the Dreamlifter to depart on this wet and very chilly morning, caught some rare, visible vortices in Phoenix.

Tom, cracking shot of that Harrier!

Starting to make my way through a full day's worth of photos.

Got a little special treatment from a couple of these guys during the morning recoveries.

Anyone else notice the exchange WSO/pilot in the backseat of this Growler?

Some F-5 happiness at 1/160th.
