Anyone planning on going to OSH?
I have been going every year since 2011 when I got my PPL. Camp onsite in Camp Scholler with a bunch of friends.
I will be there Sun to Sun.

Cheers,
Chris

Services are for former Thunderbird Commander/Leader Lt. Col Roger Parrish. He was the Commander during the F-4 years.

Thanks for the info.

Got this email from a friend at DVT.

It will be the Thunderbirds doing the flight.  Not sure who died, but he's getting quite the send-off.

March 22, 2019 @ approximately 11:15-11:30 we will need to sterilize the DVT airspace for 10-15 minutes for a military missing man flight (4-7 F-16's) being conducted at the cemetery off Cave Creek Rd., north of Deer Valley Rd. Please feel free to call me here at the tower today (Friday) or next week.

The operation will begin east of SDL and follow a westbound heading that touches SDLs north most point of their Delta airspace. The formation will then go to the cemetery and perform the missing man, then the flight will proceed to the N/NE VFR while joining up with the single ship that did the missing man. They will then go back to DMA for the airshow.

During the time we are holding people on the ground we will also be holding aircraft out of the DVT Delta airspace. I feel it should be emphasized that while holding outside the DVT delta it would be best to hold well west of Cave Creek RD. and even better if they were west of the I-17.

Cheers,
Chris

I will be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday. My flight home leaves late Monday afternoon, so I might go back Monday for some departures as well. Anybody else besides me and Chris?

Franz and I will be leaving DVT tomorrow hopefully by 6am. The wx looks pretty good so far so wish us luck wih that. Our Plan is to make two stops for fuel. KDVT - KULS - KCWI - KDPA
Staying the night with his parents and then flying into OSH Thursday morning. We will stay till Sunday morning and then we have to drop the plane off in Willmar MN KBDH to have the wings resealed and then taking Southwest back to PHX from MSP

Cheers,
Chris

I think Jay is headed out there again this year, and he's been out of town and keeping busy with the Red Star event in Porterville the past several days, which is probably why he hasn't replied.  Not sure if anyone else is going though.

Thanks Joe. I hope he is and hopefully more. It sure is an amazing event.

Cheers,
Chris

Hello all,

This will be my 5th year in a row I attent Oshkosh and am excited as ever as it is quickly approaching.
This year I will be flying there not via Allegiant thankfully but with my buddy in his Mooney 231.
Anyway I was hoping to find some of you there. Is anyone else planning on attending and if so what days. I would love to do some shooting with you.

Taken last year just before Kirby went up for his routine.

Cheers,
Chris
