My thoughts and prayers are with the flight instructor. A friend of his said that he was badly burned and in the burn unit. It appears the student pilot's injuries were much less severe.

My thoughts are with the pilot today, and with Su-Su, the P-51D. It's so sad that a plane with so much history could be gone in the blink of an eye. My heart goes out to the people at Stellar Airpark for the rough day I am sure they are experiencing. RIP P-51 pilot.

The pilot that survived was in reference to the June 2007 crash.
