Beautiful shot of the Orion. Back in the day that Marlin, on the tail of the VP-40 Orions, filled up the entire tail of the aircraft. They were all color birds back in the 70s and early 80s. CO or CAG birds were identified by a rainbow strip (sometimes a wedge shaped rainbow) through the fin flash. Awesome shot.

This one is a little different than the Fighting Marlins bird I previously posted. This one has four hardpoints and a FLIR dome underneath (all of which you'll see better with the next photo I post of this P-3).
