Had a great day in Yuma today, although the flying wasn't all that great. It was nice to see Warbird Keith again. There was a lot of aircraft there, and hopefully as WTI really gets going it will all start moving. I did see more helo traffic today than in prior visits (other than the assault I went to during the last WTI).

Thanks! I originally assumed that this was a dump, but now, after talking to someone who works on C-130s, it appears that it's a leak.

Just a reminder for anyone (including foreign visitors to the site) heading to Yuma to photograph aircraft participating in the current WTI - when shooting from off-base, keep your lenses above the fenceline. Not that there's really anything worth shooting through the road traffic and the fence and the heat-haze anyway, the MPs just don't like it when they think people are scoping out their flightline. Stick to photographing aircraft in the air and try to keep any portions of the installation out of your shots.

Well, for all the talk of the NEO exercise being tricky to shoot at Kiwanis because of the light angle and trees and access to the park and the south-to-north approach and all that, it looks like it was a fairly awesome shooting opportunity, as the traffic flowed from north to south this time.

GRR.
Saw those. The boys who went done good.
I knew that moon would come into play as well.
Yeah, but it looks like you had to go to California for those moon shots.
Who wants really awesome dusk assault helo photos anyways (besides me)??!?!?!??!
I know, right? I've got another kid due around the time of the next one, so I'm a no-go for that, but hopefully I can make 1-12 next year.
