Jay, I agree with you. Man, I'm in awe everytime I visit the forum and the AZAP Flickr Group. Their willingness to share their learned skills and experience with those of us who are novices by comparison is also very inspiring. I, for one, have been very appreciative of the tips and assistance.

Thanks Scott! I like to catch jets as they cross the horizon to emphasize the turbulence of the exhaust. I hadn't seen that style of solo take-off before. It was a surprise.

Nice painterly quality to this one. The ground crew on the Hornet and checkered tower really add a lot. Wet concrete would have been nice! Well done.

Revisiting some older shots, in anticipation of the upcoming photocall, I came upon this shot that is a prime example showing the powerful vortices that get generated by the wings, especially when in the landing configuration with the flaps fully deployed. The changes in the air density within the vortex are capable of refracting the light, which produces the cool visual effect seen here. This is all natural, no photoshop effects used here!
