Nice capture Jay - great prop blur and warm afternoon light. I'm glad you decided to keep the entire plane in this composition. Normally I like a tighter crop; however, I really like all the lines at this angle.

This is one of my favorite GA props and your photo makes me want to look under the couch to see if I can find a $million or so in spare change ;D

I love shooting in this kind of lower light because even at slow shutter speeds, you're at a (relatively) wider aperture and you get much better separation from the background.

This was 1/125 @ f/8 whereas normally, in broad daylight, you're going to be at f/13 or f/16 and suffer much deeper depth of field.

Some nice A2A shots of the Bonanzas. If I'm not mistaken the Bonanza with the Thunderbird 4 is flown by a former Thunderbird F-100 slot pilot whose son also flew #5 for the Thunderbirds in the F-16... First Father/Son Thunderbirds.

The owner of 67S is retired Maj.General Canterberry. He was a T-Bird pilot and his son few his first T-Bird show at Luke several years ago with Dad in the front row. I believe this was the first time that a father and son both few with the Thunderbirds. General Canterberry was a former wing commander at Luke when I was active duty there in the mid 80's.
