The rules for this photo challenge are;
1. Since we just did Wings of Gold that covered the United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, and United States Coast Guard, I figured it was time to cover the US Army and US Air Force. The title is a throwback and not designed to make this specifically a historic challenge. The picture must be of an aircraft, or aircrafts, in the US Army or US Air Force (including Guard aircraft). This can be current, warbird, or static museum aircraft, and includes fixed wing, rotary wing, and tiltrotor aircraft.
2. The photo must be taken during the challenge period. The goal of the photo challenge is to get out and try something new, not to got through old pictures to find something that matches the theme. Any photos posted that are taken outside of the challenge period will be deleted from the thread.
3. One photo per member (you can change your photo as many times as you like until the deadline).
4. Photos should be uploaded directly to the "Photo Challenge" thread for the current contest (this thread).
5. All photos must be submitted to the Photo Challenge thread no later than 11:59pm Arizona (GMT-07) time on Sunday, January 25th. Voting will begin on January 26th and close on February 1st. Any photos posted after the deadline will be deleted from the thread and not eligible for consideration.
6. The winning photographer will select the theme for the next assignment (keep in mind that assignments that are aircraft- or airport-specific may limit the ability of other members to participate).
7. Be safe and have fun!
Starting with Challenge #28: Sunrise/Sunset, and continuing in all future Challenge polls, you may vote for your own photo.

Just to make sure I got this right, this can be of any aircraft the served in the U.S. Army or Air Force? Correct?

To simplify:
The picture must be of an aircraft, or aircrafts, in the US Army or US Air Force (including Guard aircraft). This can be current, warbird, or static museum aircraft, and includes fixed wing, rotary wing, and tiltrotor aircraft.
The lovely Mrs. Welker has been having a difficult week health-wise and I've been staying close to the barn in an effort to assist as needed. The upside to this situation is I get to spend extra time processing image files in between my Clara Barton imitations. I had an idea in my mind for this "Challenge" and got some time this afternoon/evening to work on the files. I really smashed the sliders around in post processing. These pixels have been back and forth between LR and PS so many times that they've forgotten who they are. Clearly, pixels get abused when I have extra time on my hands. While not a criminal offense, it surely can be an offense of the eyes :o ;) ;D
That being said, I present my image for the AzAP Photo Challenge #34 and call it:
