Held March 17 and 18 at St. George, Utah
As you'll see in some of the images, there is great potential at KSGU given the surrounding scenery but I hope the organizers will give serious consideration to sliding the date back a couple weeks next year.
If they can move away from the cusp of late-season storms (like we had this time) and make some other adjustments to parking, facilities and even some tweaks to the airport layout, they'll grow into a show most definitely worth attending.
Given that this was the very first event held in St George, they did quite well in having the Raptor Demo, Osprey Demo and the Blue Angels performing.
The flight line did yield a nice clean look at the Blues lined up and ready to go...

Without a doubt, the best image I've seen of an Osprey that actually made it look like a serious threat rather than some type of bug. Great job Jay!

Great series of shots, Jay. Looks like a very scenic airport.
I read somewhere that the Blues weren't going to have Fat Albert at that show. Was that the case? If so, did they fly a demo with the replacement aircraft?

Thanks very much Chris! I tell you the potential here is off the charts...
Unfortunately, the weather didn't really cooperate so seeing the surroundings in good light (with the exception of Friday morning arrivals) was nearly impossible.

Correct... No FA. In fact, there was no C-130 participation at all. They had a really clean "Raiders" Herc parked on the ramp and the BAs USMC crew was present but unfortunately, they did not fly for the public.

Interesting to learn that the Demo does not have their own jets but rather,
they draw from Holloman or Langly depending on which side of the Mississippi they're on.

It's a really easy trip from AZ and it would make a pretty killer outing for sure.
Personally, I think they'd be well served to back up a couple weeks to get off the cusp of winter and help insure better light on the (stunning) surrounding area.
