Awesome shot Bill. I wish this guy flew at the Luke show.

Actually, this isn't a Lockheed T-33, but a Canadair CT-133, but it's close.
I think the plane in the above photos is also a CT-133.
Do any of you long time Valley residents (that are old enough) remember this one. It used to be based at KDVT. The image is a scan from a slide taken in 1978. Apparently, the airplane was based there until 1992 though. It's now registered in New Mexico. This was before everybody got obsessed with painting their planes in military colors, authentic or not. It actually carries a sponsor name (or maybe it's the owner's business). If the lettering on the side isn't readable, it says "'Lyman Lake Special' Lyman Lake Marina St. Johns, Arizona." This is not the same CT-133 that is parked at KDVT now.

Thanks for the information, Keith. I don't have any photos of 84, but part of it shows up in the background of a photo of another aircraft. It was bare metal then too. I kind of like the old non-military paint schemes like this one.
This was taken in the much lamented days when you could actually go out on airport ramps and hangar areas. Sigh! :'(
It moves! I am told this is the first time this airplane has moved under its own power in several years. This is actually a Canadair version, although it is painted in USAF Thunderbirds colors. Unfortunately, they just taxied it to a runup area, with the ladder attached, and ran up the engine a few times and then took it back to its parking spot. Hopefully it will fly soon.

Good one, Barry.
Is the Ace Maker's pilot a retired General? I noticed the single star at the root of the tail and thought that might be what it means. Anyone know the pilot? These are all very nice shots of the T-33A
No, Acemaker's Pilot is not a retired General. Not even retired military.
But he did serve in the Army for 4-5 years. He's an Air Traffic Controller by profession.
Thanks Bill.

If only . . .
This one used to have "Airshowbuzz.com" on the side, I'd call "Sun Air Parts" a definite improvement.
Solid shot, Ned. Such a good angle on the T-33, almost lends itself to a 1:1 crop ratio.
