We saw this at TIA a few weeks back. Looks like a similar sensor fit to that of the RAF's Sentinel R.1, which I believe Raytheon has the contract for.
Looks like a jet version of the EC-121 Warning Star (Willie Victor). (large dorsal dome and a belly dome). Belly dome on the EC-121 was much larger.

It went to the Honeywell facility. I guess it's getting some of their high tech gear, or maybe some warranty work. :)

So now a G-250 is a G-280 ???
Because G280 is a more amenable number sequence in certain cultures. ???
Apparently the number "250" mean "stupid" in Mandarin numerology: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numbers_in_Chinese_culture#Combinations.
ok, Joe no one whants to be known for haveing a stupid aircraft. Also that exsplains why the 787 is going over big in Asisa.

Late afternoon arrival at KPHX.
Nice one Jeff. I like the subtle softness of the background and the way it makes the Gulfstream pop. Of course the light at that time of day was sublime. A minor but fortunate detail, the winglet happened to land right over one window which is nice and tidy.
Trying to salvage...thoughts?

Wow, is that a composite shot, or was all that sky detail really lurking in the murk back there?
Either way, not a bad salvage job, though the clipped stabilizer tip would've sent this one straight to my recycling bin.
Still - WOW.
Should have mentioned its a composite. Sky was from the summer. Know what you mean about the clipped wing. It was the best grab of this plane I had though.

That's what I figured, but I've seen Jay post some pretty jaw-dropping before/after shots, so I figured I'd ask.
The clipping thing happens to me all the time with t-tailed bizjets. Citation Xs are the worst - everything is so swept-back that you'll be looking through your viewfinder thinking you've nailed this perfectly-framed shot, only to chimp it a few seconds later and realize you've chopped several feet off that stabilizer. Much easier to salvage than my chopping-off-the-pitot-tube thing that I always seem to do with F-16s.
Jay was with me on that shoot. Trying to reverse engineer some of his post techniques since we have similar shots. He's probably saving his really good stuff for a later date. Funny you mention the Citation X cause I nailed that one right next to the tower! Ha ha!
