Now that America West , brings back some memories, I loved that airline, the good old days. Now us air oh well. At least they honor it. My brother flew the 747 to Hawaii back in the day
several trips last I saw that 747 aircraft was just the top sitting in the dirt in Kingman SAD SAD day.

It is kinda wierd isn't it. One would think that tunneling would have been a better option.

I just want to sit on the can in that Port-a-John with the door open and shoot evening arrivals on the south runways.
While sitting in that port o john might seem cool, I will pass as one might pass out with the heat and smell.

Today (Saturday) is the last day of British Airways 757 operations, after over 27 years of operations. In recognition of this the airline has painted one of their last three jets in this very smart retro livery, seen here landing at LHR yesterday.

Caught these guys during a visit to Washington DC. The first one is the only decent shot of the US Airway legacy scheme for 'Allegheny'. Also caught this Colgan Airway Saab 340 using the intersecting runway for departure. And finally, this Spirit A319 landed and departed during my EOR visit, but this is as close to a decent shot that I could get.

Thanks. As you can see by the clouds it was getting ready to rain so I was lucky to get the shots before it started to pour. I was getting ready to board my flight to BWI when this bird held short on the taxiway to wait for departing traffic before crossing the active departure runway. It was kind of wierd because they were routing departing flight to both taxiways but only launching birds on the northern most of the two southern runways. I was lucky that i had my camera out when this guy showed up.

I took this one from my porch...mines not as high as yours and the airplanes don't taxi in front of my driveway, but I do see lots of flybys every day. When I first took the photo I thought it was a dragon painted on the side of this airplane. Didn't see the mountain motif until I got the image on the big screen. Thanks for the comment Harvey.

She landed south side for her first visit to Phoenix (while I was setup and hoping for a north side arrival), she also departed (per SOP) on the south side.
