The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."

Matt,

That is a nice shot of the F-111.  Too bad they will be gone soon.

Thank you!  It was nice to see them one last time.

Willie 1986. I won an on base photo contest with this slide... I think the category was "angles" or "lines." The composition today would be much different and maybe not as good? It's interesting to look back. And interesting to see what had to take place in-camera.

Matt, This is the configuration I was talking about the other day. Wings not all the forward but with flaps and slats deployed.  There must be some point short of fully forward where they could still use flaps etc.  Cool shot.

Driving back from Lake Tahoe/Reno area to Vegas I came upon this EF-111 right inside the gate at the Silver Springs Municipal Airport.  Light wasn't the greatest, butt I did what I could with what I was given.

Nice set of shots of an old warrior Ross, cool how they parked it with the nose gear at a 90 degree angle. I guess its so it can't be towed away.  ;D
