My one good look at the Corsair by itself at Madras...
It's not pin sharp and it needed SRT* but at least I got a sorta keeper

(*SRT = Sky Replacement Therapy)

Cool shot. Interesting that they set the prop pitch at an angle that would be associated with relatively high speed flight. Looks cool that way, a bit less static. Normally you see them at a fairly flat angle on the ground.  Even with the rounded flying surface tips and some fabric covering the Corsair strikes me as a more modern looking aircraft than say a P-51 even though it's older. Maybe it's the fact that they stayed in service with some US squadrons until the late fifties and were even painted in the same scheme as F-4s and F-8s.
