Not the best IQ, but it's a strobe.  And a gun pass.

INSANE 1 pulling off target after a strafe pass.

Wow!  Range shots.  That doesn't happen often.  Both are beautiful shots.  I hope you were in something armored...20 and 30 can skip a long way when they hit something hard (rocks, targets, stuff like that).  Very nice Joe.  :o

358th FS 'hawg laying down the law.  Note the 30mm round on its way to the target.

310th FS Viper pulling up after a rocket pass.  The 310th is the Air Force's schoolhouse for F-16 Airborne Forward Air Controllers, so they train regularly with rockets for marking targets from the air.  Graduates move on to one of the AFAC-tasked units at Hill, Osan, or Aviano.

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

Very nice Joe, love how you caught the LANTIRN pod looking forward instead of in the stowed position like we usually see it.

Hi Tech Deconfliction .. The elevation lines correspond to the wires strung outside and allow the range safety officer to judge height above the ground for various attack profiles.

I was with an escorted group from the Arizona Pilots Association and Joe was my guest.  The APA was originally scheduled for this visit last spring but it was cancelled due to a weather-induced No Fly that day.
