Thanks Harvey.  Just going through the archive disc and processing some images that I ignored the first time around.

Three ship inbound.
And, no. I did not even try for a full arc... This is 1/100 at 100mm

A pair of "Red Dragons" from VMM-268 (MCAS Miramar) passed through Yuma this afternoon.

HMX-1: Out standing in their field.

Killer shots, Vance.

Best looking Osprey I have ever seen. Amazing what a decent coat of paint can do.

Jeff, Joe, Harvey, and Scott:  Thanks for the kind words.  This was a unique opportunity for me to follow the Marine Corps Officers of the Basic School Class of 1977 as they reunited 38 years after their graduation from The Basic School.  This class produced six General Officers (two 4-stars, two 3-stars, one 2-star, and one Army 1-star, plus 50 Colonels).  It was a very interesting four day event.  I made some new friends and heard lots of war stories from the 195 graduates who were able to attend.

Vance,

What a great opportunity, glad you were able to assist.  Cool photos too.

I noticed the FLIR pod has a nice little dent in it.  I find it interesting that it's the only thing with the typical fleet colored, battleship grey.  Everything else has that nice HMX-1 glossy green.

Thanks Dave.  I noticed that dent as well.  The HMX-1 birds are always kept showroom clean for the President and his staff, so I was really surprised that a dent like the one on the FLIR would go either unnoticed or unrepaired/replaced.
