THE GHOST AND THE DARKNESS

Just got back from a family vacation that had us ping-ponging around eastern Kansas and western Missouri.  Was pleasantly surprised by this gorgeous F-4D in Minnesota ANG markings when we drove through Emporia, KS last Thursday.  We wound up staying there last night before heading home this morning, so I stepped out for a while once the kids were in bed.  I didn't pack a tripod, so I wound up using a binder and a backpack.  Worth the mosquito bites and frequent "WHAT WAS THAT?" thoughts any time I heard an unfamiliar noise.  Pretty sure I looked like Vern from 'Stand By Me' during his shift on night time guard duty at their campsite.
