First shot at 600mm with the new Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD A011.  My first big lens.  I have sooo much to learn to shoot with a big lens.

Thanks Keith....  It was a pleasure to meet you yesterday.

No "Blues" today, but we had "Red & Whites" instead.

Messrs. Janes; that is one beautiful Goshawk my brother. Some folks say the 7D is too noisy in low light/high ISO situations. You'll need to show me how make my 7D work like yours  ;)

Thank you Jeff... I'd love to show you how my 7D works... only problem is I don't know either!! ;D ;D
In all honesty when I first got the camera I was disappointed in it. Every picture had a ton of noise, even pics taken with the best lighting had substantial noise. I did some snooping on the internet and found out that certain settings in the custom function menus seemed to reduce the noise for whatever reason. Since it was on the internet it had to be true. I made some adjustments and it seemed to work. I still have to make some tweaks in LR but I have been really satisfied with the camera overall. This was my first outing since my lens was cleaned and tuned up at Canon. I have to say that my pics are far crisper and sharper now then when I bought the lens. I started to think that maybe Canon sent me back a 100-400L 2.8 lens.   ::) ;D

The Nikon D300S seems to suffer the same issues in low light and I was extremely disappointed at first.  Now that I'm more familiar with the camera, I'm having better luck, but noise is still problematic.  I also have a D600 (full frame) and that camera doesn't seem to have the noise problems I experienced with the D300S.  Topaz Labs software suite has been a big help for the D300S shots.  Chris, you Goshawk shot is beautiful...crystal clear in every dimension.  Very nice.

Nothing special. But I was out and about today with my new Canon refurb G-12. Just as I was getting ready to turn down 82nd St at Scottsdale, a T-45 flew over. I was hoping for another, and I got it.

That's a big crop on this shot. The camera doesn't have the reach my SX-30 does, but it's smaller, and I want that for when I'm out on the motorcycle.

Had some T-45s from VT-7 and VT-9 come through KPRC for fuel a few days ago.
