Just beautiful Matt.  I'm jealous too!  We're you backseating in the SNJ?

Thank you!  Yes, I was in the backseat of the SNJ.  Full flight controls back there, I was able to fly the SNJ out the the photo shoot location.

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

With a timely heads up that MitS was doing pattern work at Willie, I tried to get to FFZ to catch her landing.  To paraphrase Maxwell Smart, "I missed her landing... by that much."

Anyway, ended up catching her as she taxied back to the CAF's ramp.

Here's another one from my air-to-air shoot with Maid in the Shade.

We used our SNJ as the photo platform with the canopy open.  This was probably the hardest photo shoot I've ever done, but also the most fun!

Thanks Matt...

I had a very nice chat with Spike while MitS was up doing her thing in rehersal.  I promised him I'd get a copy of this over to them at CAF.

Spike is a great guy, I have given him copies of almost all my MitS photos.

Departing for the short flight to Prescott.  Maid in the Shade will be at Prescott until Sunday.  She's there with Sentimental Journey, the CAF's B-17G.  Her pilot, Spike, gave us a nice wing dip after lift-off, before turning north.

"You don't become a professional simply by earning certificates, adding ratings, or getting a paycheck for flying. Rather, professionalism is a mindset. It comes from having the attitude, the ethics, and the discipline to do the right thing — every time, all the time, regardless of who's watching."
