Was this around the same time all those F-18s with the wall-to-wall AMRAAMs were flying?  My hunch is that this was that massive Defensive Counter-Air evolution.

Joe: The F/A-18s with all the AMRAAMs launched around 2:45 and the Hawker Hunters returned at 5:49 pm. I did not see the Kfir returns as I was at the wrong end of the runway.
