Hammer Time!
One of two VFA-106 "Gladiators" legacy birds which performed nearly full tactical demos over AirVenture.

I came to learn that these demos were granted a larger and higher aerobatic box than had ever previously been allowed.
Interested parties from the FAA were on hand and even BA "Boss" McWherter paid a visit to AirVenture.

Oshkosh has never hosted either military jet team but perhaps a modified low show might in the offing for some future AirVenture!

Great images Jay. My only complaint or criticism is that it appears the back seat in the L-39 is empty. I believe that is a serious violation of aviation proprieties  Grin

Unfortunately, they prohibit "non essential personnel" during demos but yeah, I hear ya...
