While we're on the subject of Air Force One in the Valley of the Sun:

Boeing VC-137C 72-7000 bringing President Nixon to Phoenix Sky Harbor on May 10, 1974.  I shot this with a 50mm lens.

Brian, very nice.....

Thanks a lot!  Access was so much easier then.  I like the reflections of the engine nacelles and the shadow of the rear fuselage in the highly polished underside.

President Obama departs from Sky Harbor on VC-25A 92-9000 on Tuesday, August 6, 2013.  The sun came out just in time for the take-off.

I have more Air Force One pictures on my web site at Air-and-Space.com.

Nice Brian!  I saw it from the opposite side out my window at Honeywell.  I thought it was interesting that they stayed so low after lift off.  Looked really cool.

Thanks Scott! Here's a shot of it going past Honeywell and their 757:

So Air Force One will be back in Phoenix this Friday. Don't know arrival or departure times, but I'm hoping those "in the know" will be able to post some windows.

Dan,

Your best bet is to watch the news, keep tabs on the 'Heads Up' thread and keep up to date on any TFR's that get published.  I believe the White House publishes a daily schedule of presidential activities, and this should give a reasonably accurate indication on his scheduled landing time.  Doesn't necessarily mean that's the time AF1 will land, just that's what's been planned for.
