+1 John. I remember as a kid going on maneuvers with Dad to Mountain Home AFB. Although they didn't have F-15's then. These poor guys are not picking the best of times to trade their base of operations from Idaho to Arizona; even if it is a short stay  Wink

Thanks, Joe and Jeff.  It was a good time of day to return to DM.

Jeff:  They are only here from North Carolina until the end of June.

I caught this today.  I am unsure if it is related to the wrap-up of Angel Thunder or perhaps foreshadowing future Snowbird activity--or neither.

I think this is the same bird Harvey caught at Luke recently, perhaps they're getting serious about the F-35?  Angel Thunder also has nations that send observers to check out the exercise to see if they want to participate, so they may have been doing some of that too.  Cool catch regardless.

Now this is my kind of a yard sale. As you previously noted, one of those helo motors would go a long way to putting some punch into the Mormon Meteor  Wink

Seriously, I love the sea of Herc tails in the background. It had to be fairly warm out there young man. Hope you didn't get burned with too much sun  Shocked Cool

Hi Jeff, it has been 30 years since I was in the boneyard. We rode down in an AF bus that the A/C wasn't working. Coming home at 1 pm with no A/C at all and the bus had to stop 4 times along the highway to reset an alarm that was triggered by something in the engine bay. It took 3 an a half hours to get home along with being stuck in stop and go traffic through central Phoenix. The kids put the windows down and it felt like they were checking to see if the cookies in the oven were done. Never again on an AF bus, the same thing happened to me about three years ago going to Gila Bend ranges with another squadron, I should have learned back then.  Undecided
