Photo of a "D" model that dad took while on maneuvers in Idaho. This bird belonged to the 124th FIS ANG. This appears to be a 1959 or 1960 1957 image.

Another awesome shot.  The F-89s were flying out of Billy Mitchell field in Milwaukee when I was living there in the mid-50s.  I think the F-89 was the first model I ever built.
